"We have had a case now for a year involving a woman in hospice care
whose pain is not relieved unless she receives so much morphine that she
is unconscious. The morphine causes constipation so severe that she
has had to have several surgeries for bowel obstruction.
Why doesn't someone write about the failure of hospice care to
provide the happy, complication-free results that are alleged?"
