Australian writer Cory Taylor passes away
"In later years, Cory made facing death her project; and came to find it fascinating. She hoped her final work, a memoir, would trigger more open and honest conversations about how we die."
Cory passed away on July 5 without pain and surrounded by her family.

More Victorians to be able to die at home under government plan
As reported in the Age on July 7, the state government will release a new framework for end-of-life and palliative care, and commit $7.2 million to immediately begin integrating, training and expanding the sector to give Victorians more options towards the end of their lives.
It is encouraging to see the Government taking steps towards recognising end of life processes and the role that medical institutions play in individual ability to make choices.
