An Invitation …
What would you want to do with your body after you die — if there were no laws or restrictions, a limitless budget and no environmental or socio-political concerns?
Camille Laddawan (b.1990) is an Australian beading artist and art therapist.
She holds a Bachelor of Visual Communication from Monash University (2011) and a Master of Art Therapy from La Trobe University (2019), and is preparing for an exhibition that will be shown in the city, at the Members Vitrine Gallery at Craft Victoria in October 2022.
For this exhibition, Camille is wanting to inspire people to think about their bodies after death, beyond the mandatory laws of cremation and burial. She is asking the question to a broad range of people, of all ages.
The Question:
What would you want to do with your body after you die — if there were no laws or restrictions, a limitless budget and no environmental or socio-political concerns?
Three answers will be chosen by Camille and exhibited as beadings on hand-made looms. In addition to this, a selection of answers may be published in an accompanying booklet, either anonymously or with names, with the individual’s consent.
If you would like to be involved, please email your answer or any questions to Camille at ca*************@gm***.com“>ca*************@gm***.com
